This isn’t just another tech conference. WordCamp Dhaka 2025 marks a milestone for Bangladesh’s WordPress ecosystem. It proves our local community has evolved from a small group of enthusiasts into a recognized force that contributes meaningfully to the global WordPress landscape.

When: October 18-19, 2025 (Saturday-Sunday)

Where: Senaprangan Convention Hall, Dhaka Cantonment

What’s Happening:

  • October 18 (Saturday): Conference Day with talks, panels, and networking
  • October 19 (Sunday): Contributor Day for community giveback

Attendance: 1,250 WordPress professionals, developers, designers, and enthusiasts from across Bangladesh and beyond

The two-day format gives everyone a chance to both learn and give back. Conference Day focuses on knowledge sharing and networking. Contributor Day lets attendees contribute directly to WordPress itself.

What Makes This WordCamp Different

Six Years of Growth

The last WordCamp Dhaka happened in 2019. Think about how much has changed since then. Gutenberg became the default editor. Full Site Editing arrived. AI tools started integrating with WordPress workflows.

More importantly, Bangladesh’s role in the WordPress economy grew dramatically. Companies here now compete on the global stage. Developers here contribute to WordPress core. Products built in Bangladesh serve millions of users worldwide.

This WordCamp celebrates that transformation.

Record-Breaking Numbers

1,250 attendees represents the largest gathering of WordPress professionals Bangladesh has ever seen. When tickets sold out in 2-3 minutes, it sent a clear message: the community was hungry for this.

People want to connect. They want to learn. They want to be part of something bigger than their individual projects or businesses.

World-Class Sponsors

The sponsor lineup tells you everything about this event’s caliber. When companies like Automattic (Woo, Jetpack), Bluehost, and Kinsta show up as platinum sponsors, it validates Bangladesh’s position in the global WordPress community.

These companies are investing in a community they believe has real potential.

Conference Day Schedule: October 18

Conference Day packs a full schedule of sessions designed for WordPress professionals at every level.

Opening Keynote: WordPress Security in Action

The day starts with a keynote on WordPress security. This isn’t abstract theory. The session focuses on real-world security challenges and actionable tactics you can implement immediately.

Security matters more than ever. With WordPress powering over 43% of all websites, it’s a prime target for attacks. Whether you’re building sites for clients, running a WordPress business, or managing your own projects, understanding security is essential.

The keynote covers site hardening, server security, common vulnerabilities, and best practices that work in production environments.

Lightning Talks: Quick Wins Throughout the Day

Lightning talks are short, focused sessions that pack maximum value into minimum time. Here’s what to expect:

AI Integration in WordPress: How AI tools are changing WordPress workflows, from content generation to automated testing.

Advanced SEO Strategies: Including LLM SEO techniques that account for how AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity surface content differently than traditional search engines.

Product Philosophy and Onboarding: How to build products people actually want to use and onboard users effectively.

Marketing Strategies That Work: Real tactics from people who’ve grown WordPress businesses.

Design Thinking for WordPress: Applying design thinking principles to create better user experiences.

Work-Life Balance in Tech: Practical advice for maintaining sanity in an industry that often glorifies overwork.

Long-Form Sessions: Deep Dives

These sessions give speakers time to dig into complex topics:

Growth Stories from Successful WordPress Businesses: Learn from companies that have scaled from side projects to sustainable businesses. What worked? What didn’t?

Content Strategy That Drives Results: Beyond publishing blog posts and hoping for the best. Build content strategies that actually achieve business goals.

Scaling Challenges and Solutions: Technical and organizational challenges that emerge when WordPress businesses grow.

Product Development Insights: From idea to launch to iteration. Real stories from people building WordPress plugins, themes, and services.

Two Major Panel Discussions

Panel 1: DEIB & Community Contribution

This panel tackles Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in open source communities. WordPress thrives because of its diverse, global community.

Expect honest discussions about barriers that prevent people from contributing, how to make WordPress communities more inclusive, and practical steps individuals and companies can take.

Panel 2: The Future of WordPress in Bangladesh & Beyond

Industry pioneers will discuss Bangladesh’s evolving role in the global WordPress economy. Topics include how Bangladesh can compete globally in WordPress, opportunities and challenges unique to our market, and collaboration between local companies and global players.

Why This WordCamp Matters

Why This WordCamp Matters

For the WordPress Community

This is the first major WordCamp in Bangladesh since 2019. Six years is a long time in tech. The community has grown, matured, and proven itself capable of competing globally.

Bangladesh has quietly become a powerhouse in the WordPress ecosystem. Companies here build products used by millions globally. Developers here contribute meaningfully to WordPress core. Designers here create themes for worldwide audiences.

WordCamp Dhaka 2025 puts all of this on full display. It’s not just a celebration of where we are. It’s a launching pad for where we’re going.

Direct User Feedback: Our users are attending WordCamp, and we want to hear directly from you. What’s working well? What needs improvement? This direct feedback often leads to our best product improvements.

Team Bonding: Having 16 of us together, outside our normal work environment, strengthens our shared vision. Remote work is great, but these in-person experiences create bonds that make remote collaboration stronger.

Understanding the Market: Trends and user needs come through clearest when you’re talking to people in person. This market intelligence helps us build products that actually solve real problems.

Why We’re So Excited About This Moment

WordCamp Dhaka 2025 represents something bigger than a two-day event. It’s a statement about where Bangladesh’s WordPress community stands and where it’s headed.

How Far We’ve Come

Six years ago, WordCamp Dhaka brought together a much smaller community. We were ambitious but still finding our place in the global WordPress ecosystem.

Today, Bangladesh is a recognized force. WordPress companies here compete globally and win. Products built here serve millions worldwide. Developers here contribute meaningfully to WordPress core.

What This Means for the Future

When 1,250 people fight for tickets to a WordPress event, when global sponsors invest significantly, when international speakers want to participate, it signals something important.

Bangladesh is no longer on the periphery of the WordPress world. We’re increasingly central to it.

This creates opportunities: more WordPress jobs and careers in Bangladesh, better resources for WordPress developers, stronger connections between local companies and global markets, and greater recognition of Bangladeshi WordPress talent internationally.

Our Role at bPlugins

For us, attending with 16 team members is about strengthening community bonds, learning and improving, contributing back, and being part of something bigger.

The WordPress ecosystem has given us so much. WordCamp is one way to give back, to share what we’ve learned, and to help others on their WordPress journey.

See You on October 18

After six long years, WordCamp Dhaka returns stronger, bigger, and more significant than ever. With 1,250 attendees, world-class sponsors, packed schedules, and a community hungry for connection, this is the WordPress event Bangladesh deserves.

We’re bringing 16 team members because we believe in showing up. We believe in face-to-face connections. We believe in learning together, growing together, and building together.

The WordPress community has always been about more than software. It’s about people helping people, sharing knowledge freely, and creating opportunities for everyone.

If you’re attending, find us. Let’s talk about WordPress, share ideas, discuss challenges, or just get to know each other. Some of the best collaborations start with simple conversations at events like this.

If you can’t attend, follow along on social media. We’ll share our experiences, key learnings, and highlights from both days.

This is more than an event. It’s a milestone. It’s a celebration. It’s a launching pad for the next phase of Bangladesh’s WordPress story.

See you at Senaprangan Convention Hall on October 18. Let’s make this WordCamp one for the history books.
